The Wood Family

Before they ever met, Mom went to Texas A&M in college, and Dad played basketball at a small college here in the Southeast. After college, they both ended up in Memphis, and met at a bible study at Bellevue Baptist Church. Now, they are married, have turned into a family of three, and have SO much to smile about.

This family was ALL love. The way they cared about each other was so clear. They laughed and played the entire time, despite the suffocating heat.

Melanie and Brad, thank you so much for letting me spend a couple of hours with you guys. I had such a great time with you and your precious little man!

The Armstead Family

This family could not be any cuter or any sweeter. I seriously wanted to take these boys home with me, they were SO precious. I can only imagine how much time they must spend laughing and smiling in their home.

Burchett Family

You may recognize Lilliana from last December from their family shoot OR from her birthday shoot later that month. I was so happy to be able to photograph Lilliana again, this time with her extended family. This is such a fun group of people. Lilliana is definitely a blessed little girl to be surrounded by this group all the time!

Gish Family

I first met the Gish Family last October when I did Sarah's Maternity Shoot. Since then, I've done Segen's newborn pictures, 3 month pictures, and now six month pictures. This Gish Family is getting ready to move, so this will probably wrap up our shoots together. I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them, and watching these two as they grow up.

Thanks you guys for everything.

Jessica + Chris

Jessica and I were friends in college, sorority sisters at Union University.

I very clearly remember the first time Jessica contacted me about doing her wedding pictures. It was last summer, about a week after I launched my family photography business. Needless to say, I was still VERY insecure about where my photography was headed and if the business would succeed.

I believe the conversation went something like this...

"Me: Um... are you out of your mind? There is NO FREAKING WAY I'm going to be held responsible for your wedding pictures.

Jess: But Elizabeth, I've seen your stuff and I need someone I can trust.

Me: That's the problem- you can't trust me. No. I'm not doing them, but I'll help you find someone.

Jess: PLEASE?!?!? What do I have to do to make you change your mind??

Me: Ok... I MAY do it, but only if you promise that you won't be mad if I ruin the most special day of your life by butchering your photos."

Looking back, I think I MAY understand what my husband means when he tells me I have NO confidence in myself. I'm working on that. :)

Now, I'm several weddings in and am finding that I actually LOVE IT. I have a lot of things to learn about the wedding business, but the former TV news producer in me loves the thrill of documenting a big, live moment. Not to mention, the joy of being able to capture the biggest moment in these couples' lives.

Jess, I thoroughly enjoyed being there for your big day. You and Chris are TRULY a great couple together. Thank you so much for believing in me from the very beginning. I hope you enjoy!

Sigler Family

Does this family look familiar? I did Miss Delia's newborn pictures back in March, and am SO happy to be documenting her first year. This time, I met The Sigler Family in Harbor Town, on the river. When Emily told me that's where she wanted to do the pictures, I was a little nervous, because bright sunlight is never good for pictures. But, we found this gorgeous tree next to the water, and managed to do the entire shoot underneath the tree. Who would have thought?

I had such a great time on this gorgeous, sunny Sunday afternoon.

Thank you guys, I can't wait until our shoot this fall!

Lee Family

My internet is still down and it will be apparently be Friday until someone is able to come out to my house and attempt to fix it. We'll see how that goes. In the meantime, I'm doing the best I can checking emails at friends' houses and coffee shops. If I don't respond to your email right away, please know I'll get to it SOON.

Right now, I'm at Square Beans Coffee, a fantastic coffee shop in the middle of the Town Square, using their free wireless. What would I do without Square Beans??

The Lee Family lives in Paris, TN. That's where I did Shanna's maternity shoot and their newborn shoot. This time, the Lee's are moving, and so they needed to get their shoot in before they left town, so they drove up to Memphis to meet me. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with this family and wish them well in the future.
